This photo just about shows the shaven area.

This shows the main bruise and the clipper nicks.

Last Thursday we took Pepper to East Midlands Referrals in Hucknall.
He was kept in for the day. X Rays were taken which showed nothing, subsequently the specialist, Graham Oliver, performed Arthroscopic Investigations in both his right fore elbow and shoulder. The elbow investigation was good, no problems. In the shoulder Graham found a tear in the.medial gleno-humeral ligament. He was sure this had been caused by trauma. Graham performed Extra Corporeal Shockwave Therapy, which he described as being similar to Pin Firing in horses, very painful and has to be done under general anesthesia This is designed to promote blood flow/healing to the damaged ligament. This will have to be repeated. Now we have to give him total bed rest for between 1 to 2 weeks and then a slow exercise regime lasting at least 60 days, which will probably keep him off the road for the rest of this season. |
